Title: The dog that didn’t bark: The role of natural capital in explaining the rise and fall of global productivity
This seminar will explore the role of natural capital in long-term economic and productivity growth, offering a new perspective on why productivity growth has declined globally in recent decades. The presentation will examine how factors such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and resource depletion have shifted natural capital from a historical productivity booster to a modern-day productivity drag.
