VTEL at WCTE 2025

VTEL proudly represented Carleton University at the World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE) 2025, which took place from June 22 – 26 in Brisbane, Australia! Dr. Christian Viau and PhD student Mehdi Saloo attended the prestigious event, presenting a total of five conference papers, including those by Mohammadmahdi Gholami and Trevor Czorny. Their contributions spanned cutting-edge topics in timber engineering, showcasing the lab’s continued leadership in sustainable structural systems, advanced modeling techniques, and innovative timber connections. WCTE 2025 served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and international collaboration in wood research and engineering.
