Secondary Classroom Workshops
Workshop Offerings

Biomedical Engineering
Discover the practical application of gears and centrifugal force through the hands-on construction of a centrifuge build with Sphero Blueprints. This low-tech workshop focuses on engineering drawings and teamwork, challenging students to work together to complete their work.

Mechatronics Engineering
Explore the mechanics behind both internal combustion and electric engines while analyzing the benefits and drawbacks of each! Gain hands-on experience with the engineering design process through the design, construction, and iterative coding of a semi-autonomous electric vehicle powered by a Micro:bit.

Energy Engineering
Apply your students’ engineering mindset with this hands-on workshop that uses gears in different power generation settings. Build a basic wind turbine and hydroelectric dam system in this low-tech workshop using Sphero Blueprints and orthogonal drawings.
