Moving to Paperless Forms

Hey! Did you know that Web Services can convert your forms from paper to electronic submission?

With the COVID-19 Pandemic, we’re all finding ways to adapt so we can operate to the best of our abilities while taking proper precautions. Virtual form submission is one of the many ways Carleton is adapting to these times.

Keeping Each Other Safe

By going paperless, you will be able to receive form submissions despite the fact that you’re working remotely. Plus, doing so reduces the risk of transmission because the new system will be contactless. You will no longer have to come into direct contact with someone to receive a submission, nor will you need to touch paper forms that have been previously handled.

In addition to being a safer way to submit forms, virtual submission has a lot of perks! Forms can be submitted immediately and directly without the regular risks that come with paper form submissions, like Canada Post delays.

Virtual submission also makes the process easier for people who may not have access to a printer in their home. By submitting forms online, they no longer have to go to public places like libraries and post offices to print. This, again, helps reduce the risk of transmission.

We’re Here to Help

We believe that this service could be especially helpful for departments that receive lots of form submissions on a regular basis, like ISSO, Faculty Affairs, and Human Resources.

Take, for example, this online version of the Carleton Employee Pay Submission Form.

If you have a form template that you’d like converted to a virtual version, don’t hesitate to contact our Service Desk.

We’re happy to help!
