Every month we are profiling one of the Web Services Department’s team members. This month we hear about Mounika, who is a developer at Web Services!

How did you enter this career?

I have a Bachelors in Computers Science from India. When I came to Canada, I signed up for a coding bootcamp at LightHouse Labs and started working as a developer shortly after that.

Before Carleton, I worked for a Toronto based startup called Speer Technologies. I was a full stack developer there.

What are some of the technologies you have used along the way?

I’ve worked with ReactJS, React Native, WebFlow, Google Firebase, AWS and Docker. I also have experience working with Android and iOS applications.

What are the best things about your job?

I love my team and the collaborative environment we have at Carleton.

Do you have some exciting projects you are working on right now?

Currently I’m working on CU Theme project. I’ve never worked with WordPress and Guttenberg Blocks before. So it is exciting to learn new things every day.

What music are you listening at the moment?

I haven’t opened Spotify in a while. I should get back into it.

What are you reading at the moment?

I was never much of a reader. I prefer audio books.

Binge watching series and movies.

What exciting plans do you have coming up in the next year?

I’m having a baby next month!! All my plans are going to revolve around this 🙂
