Class of 2021 Graduate

What is your favourite thing about the program?

My favourite thing about the disability studies program is the awareness it gave me. It made me cognizant of the social barriers, myths, truths, and policies that affect persons with disabilities.

What will you miss the most?

I would miss the hustle and bustle of the campus. Learning new things, most of all, I’d miss having structured days.

Favourite place on campus?

Favourite place on campus is the 4th floor of the library because I could take a break from studying and nap.

What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?

My favourite reading was Nguyen, X.T., & Mitchell, C. (2014). Inclusion in Vietnam: An intersectionality perspective on girls with disabilities and education.

What’s next for you?

Next for me is gaining relevant work experience, enjoy the freedom from assignments, and exams. Maybe move to a new city and hone my creative director skills.
