What is the Telephone Outreach Program?
The Telephone Outreach Program, commonly referred to as TOP, aims to help raise awareness about various philanthropic initiatives and funds at Carleton that make a positive difference within our community. Overseen by Advancement, TOP’s day-to-day activities are carried out by a team of students known as Community Engagement Associates (CEAs), who engage with diverse Carleton stakeholders on a variety of topics.
You may receive occasional phone calls from CEAs. The team of CEAs keep members of the Carleton community apprised of important initiatives and funds at Carleton, maintains a sense of connection between stakeholders and the university, and contributes to a better understanding of the impact of philanthropy at Carleton. CEAs also check in with recent graduates to introduce them to the benefits and perks of being a Carleton alum and help them stay engaged with their alma mater.
A CEA may call you to:
- Provide information about giving opportunities through Carleton
- Say thank you for past philanthropic support
- Keep you informed about upcoming events and activities at Carleton that may be of interest
- Ensure your contact information is up to date
CEAs make calls in the evenings Monday through Thursday in the fall, winter and summer semesters.
