Co-sponsored by Carleton’s Institute of African Studies, Department of Law and Legal Studies, and Partnership Africa Canada, this workshop is bringing together African academics and civil society organization researchers. It builds directly on a workshop on a Sexual Violence and Conflict Workshop held at Carleton in May 2010 as well as Professor Buss’s longstanding research on international law and violence and Partnership African Canada`s extensive research, advocacy and peacebuilding work on conflict minerals in the Great Lakes region of central Africa.
