Congratulations to IAS Adjunct Research Professor, Samuel Ojo Oloruntoba who was recently appointed as a member of the newly launched African Knowledge Network by The United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (UN-OSAA).

The Knowledge Network was established with the purpose of leveraging existing knowledge and expertise to support African countries in leapfrogging toward sustainable development. The Knowledge Network is expected to contribute to changing the narrative from Africa and on Africa by promoting innovative ideas and elevating the voices of African stakeholders in shaping and influencing outcomes of intergovernmental deliberations on Africa.

Professor Samuel Oloruntoba’s expertise on the political economy of development in Africa and his ongoing work on the African Continental Free Trade Area will be brought to bear on the work of the United Nations Africa Knowledge Network.
