As a developmental psychologist and Registered Early Childhood Educator, I am interested in understanding positive development through active engagement across the life span. My current research focuses on the development of early numeracy in infants, toddlers, and preschool children through play. Previous research activities have focused on the development of perceived competence in youth sports, academic engagement among emerging adults, the associations between physical activity, psychological states, and flourishing, and the benefits of yoga on mental health. I am also actively interested in pedagogical work on quantitative methods for developmental research.
