Deadlines
OSAP has application and document deadlines. It’s important to submit your application and all required documents prior to their deadlines.
We have a comprehensive timeline of OSAP dates and deadlines you can reference.
For all deadlines, visit our summer dates and deadlines page.
Important!
Application deadlines and supporting document deadlines are hard deadlines and CANNOT be extended.
Status of your OSAP application
Curious to know what stage your application is at? You can easily check the status of your application online, through your OSAP account.
Instructions on how to look up your application’s status are available on our website.
Note:
All the status information available to you through your OSAP application is the same information we have access to in our office. As such, please refrain from contacting our office to simply check the status of your application.
Upload documents
You may need to upload documents to support your application. You can find instructions on how to scan and upload your documents on our website. You should aim to get this done before your classes get underway.
Note:
It’s faster to scan and upload your documents yourself. However, if you are having problems doing so, you can email your documents and we will upload them for you. Keep in mind, emailing your documents can take several days to upload.
Updating your OSAP application
You won’t be able to make updates to your application yourself after it’s been submitted. You will have to submit your changes to our office and we will update your application for you.
However, there are situations where you must notify the Awards Office via email immediately. Specifically if:
- You reduce your course load
- You change your program of study
- You withdraw from your program
- You need to report a change in your, or your family’s, financial information
- You change your marital status
- You decide to attend a different post-secondary institution
- You do not want your student loan funding
