Publication alert: New technique to assess protein-RNA binding
Anand Chopra (BSc Biochemistry & Biotechnology/2018) and Feras Balbous (BSc Biochemistry/2022) published a novel technique used to assess protein-RNA interactions. The RNA pull-down technique can provide information on binding affinities and help analyze the effects of modifications on these interactions. This research was part of a larger project in the group of Prof. Kyle Biggar (Institute of Biochemistry). The technique is meant to simplify this type of assessment in modern biochemistry laboratories.
