A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our Biochemistry Undergraduate Research Day 2024!
Carleton University’s Institute of Biochemistry hosted its annual Undergraduate Research Day on April 11, a vibrant event dedicated to acknowledging and appreciating the hard work and innovative research conducted by undergrads. The celebration, highlighted the contributions of students enrolled in BIOC 4907 Honours Essay and Research Proposal and BIOC 4908 Research Project courses.
Over the past eight months, these diligent students have tackled complex challenges within the biochemistry field, demonstrating resilience and tenacity. The event also spotlighted students from BIOC 3104 Practical Biochemistry II, who presented their findings from the Institute’s inaugural Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE).
As Carleton University continues to foster a nurturing environment for budding scientists, the Institute of Biochemistry’s Undergraduate Research Day stands as a testament to the power of education and research in shaping the future of science and society.
