Publication alert: Cyclic lipopeptides affect spores and cell membranes in fungal plant pathogens

Hannah Schott (B.Sc. Biochemistry/current), Marie Ouangni (B.Sc. Biochemistry & Biotechnology/current) and Erika Wareberg (B.Sc. Biochemistry/current) have published research on differential effects of membrane-targeting antimicrobial compounds. This work was part of a larger project in the group of Prof. Tyler Avis (Institute of Biochemistry). The work indicates that antimicrobial lipopeptide effects may be distinct based morphological state of plant pathogenic fungi.
