Biochemistry Undergraduates Co-Author Article Published in Leading Journal
Jacob Clarke and Karlye Rudd, who completed their undergraduate studies in Carleton’s Biochemistry program and are now MSc students, co-authored a paper published in Analytical Chemistry.
Their research developed a novel method for extracting fatty acid composition data from LC-MS lipidomics datasets, providing results comparable to traditional GC-MS analysis while preserving more information about the original lipid molecules. This approach offers a more complete picture of the biochemical processes occurring within cells and biological systems.
