Goals for the future: I am an incoming Assistant Professor with the University of British Columbia’s Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries, where I lead their new indigenous Fisheries Research Unit. I am also a Co-founder of Riparia, a Canadian charity that connects young women with learning opportunities on the water to grow the next generation of water protectors. My research, teaching and outreach centers on creating space for multiple ways of knowing and multiple learners to work together to better understand and protect our aquatic ecosystems, fish and fisheries.
