The call for Expressions of Interest for student governors for the 2026/27 Board year is now closed.
The expressions of Interest from two undergraduate students and two graduate students to fill four vacant positions as a Student Governor for the 2026/27 Board Year is now closed.
Students selected by the students-at-large to be considered for nomination to the Board and confirmed will serve a one-year term for the period of July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The deadline for applications was Friday, January 23, 2026.
Prospective student governors may consult the Student Governor Handbook for detailed information about the position, responsibilities, and the application process.

| January 12 | Board 101 Mandatory Information Session from 12 pm to 1 pm EST (note: you only have to attend one of these sessions—either Jan. 12 or 15) |
| January 20 | Board 101 Mandatory Information Session from 12 pm to 1 pm EST. |
| January 23 | Deadline for Submission of Expressions of Interest (4pm EST) |
| January 26 | Validation of Student Expressions of Interest and Confirmation to Students Regarding Eligibility to Proceed with Registrar’s Office |
| January 26 | The University Secretary and Chief Governance Officer will notify candidates that they are eligible to continue in the Candidate Selection Process |
| Jan. 26 to Feb. 1 | Campaigning Period |
| February 2 | Online Voting Begins (link is activated at 10 am EST) |
| February 3 | Online Voting Ends (link is deactivated at 10 pm EST) |
| February 4 | Tabulation of results of Candidate Selection Process and Announcement of Successful Nominees |
| June 4 | Election for Student Governors at meeting of the Board of Governors |
