The Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre is reflective of the university’s commitment to extend its footprint beyond our campus into the broader community. Through generous acts of philanthropy, the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre opened its doors as a hub to support inclusivity, foster creative expression and to amplify local and international talent.

Since its inception, Carleton University has had a mandate to serve the community through education, knowledge and opportunities. By supporting the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre, you are a part of our collective mission to be the good that we want to see in the world.

Current Fundraising Initiatives:

(1) Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Priority Fund

Gifts to the Priority Needs Fund will support the centre’s immediate needs as well as help us make long-term plans. Examples of projects the fund may support include building renovations, experiential learning opportunities and the ongoing maintenance of instruments and equipment.

(2) The Friends of the Pipe Organ Fund

The hallmark of the new performing arts and learning space is the unique and breathtaking pipe organ located in the sanctuary. This fund supports the care and preservation of the centre’s 5,200-pipe Casavant, ensuring that generations to come enjoy its sounds.

(3) Fall 2025 – Shine Light at CDCC

Every event deserves to shine. This fund supports the purchase of two new sets of mobile coloured lighting fixtures to illuminate events held throughout CDCC’s beautiful multi-purpose heritage spaces.  As a heritage venue with a wide range of uses, from student recitals and university lectures to community concerts and cultural showcases, lighting needs are diverse and evolving. These new fixtures will allow us to adapt quickly to different event formats, improving visual quality, accessibility, and atmosphere.
