Ben Jardine wins best overall presentation at PEO Student Papers Night

Civil Engineering undergraduate student Ben Jardine won “best overall presentation” at the Professional Engineers of Ontario Student Papers Night on April 7th, 2010, bringing home the Tom Folkes trophy along with undergraduate student Mike Behring from Aerospace Engineering. The title of his paper was “Investigation into Alternative Raw Material for Cement Production”

The Student Paper night is a competition between University of Ottawa and Carleton University undergraduate engineering students.  There are two presentations from each school where each presentation focuses on some aspect of engineering technological development in which a student, or small group of students, has been involved.  The Tom Folkes Trophy goes to the school whose students delivered the best presentations of the evening as judged by a panel of prominent professional engineers.
