PhD student Pouria Ghods receives prestigious award
The Corrosion Division of The Electrochemical Society has announced the selection of Pouria Ghods as the 2010 recipient of the Morris Cohen Graduate Student Award. Mr. Ghods carried out his research under the supervision of Professor O. Burkan Isgor on the multi-scale investigation of corrosion of steel in concrete structures. The study involved several nano and micro scale microscopic techniques, numerical and mechanistic modeling of rebar corrosion in concrete. He will be receiving his award in the Fall meeting of The Electrochemical Society in Las Vegas, NV.
