Subber wins award

Waad Subber won one of three special “Sandia National Laboratories Awesome Awards” given out at the HPCS2010 conference (High Performance Computing) in Toronto  on June 9th. The award was given for outstanding technical contributions to the conference. His poster entitled “Primal and Dual-Primal Iterative Substructuring Methods of Stochastic PDEs”   presents a complete, scalable system for solving these increasingly important class of problems in areas from finance to physical systems under randomness or noise.

Waad Subber is a Ph.D Student working on developing scalable algorithms to solve large-scale stochastic PDEs under the supervision of Professor Abhijit Sarkar.
