Fillingham awarded Outstanding TA Award,

Melanie Fillingham has been awarded one of five 2015-2016 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards. In addition, Ahmed Hassan was selected as one of five honourable mentions. The Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award celebrates the contributions and support Teaching Assistants give to the undergraduate programs in their disciplines, their roles in establishing and perpetuating a positive learning environment, and in implementing innovative teaching practices.

The awards committee was impressed with the strength and versatility of nominations as well as Carleton TAs’ dedication to enhancing student learning. Melanie and Ahmed were selected from a large number of highly competitive nominations this year. The committee unanimously agreed to recognize Melanie’s dedication, passion, and excellence in teaching, as well as Ahmed’s.
