Gardien recipient of annual Provost Scholar Award

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is thrilled to announce that Jonique Gardien, a graduating Architecture Conservation and Sustainability student is one of the recipients of the 2020 Provost Scholar Award. This award recognizes exceptional undergraduate students who exemplify excellence in research, community engagement and/or academics. The criteria for the award include:
- Conducted undergraduate research that has been applied to a community concern
- Engaged a community group through an immersive learning project
- Actively engaged through their academic studies with an international issue, or brought the international community to our campus through their research work
- Completed an immersive learning research project, ideally involving interdisciplinary teams, which created a high impact solution to a real-world problem while fostering professional relationships with community members
Jonique will be recognized at a virtual ceremony on May 1.
