Örmeci researches microplastics: a growing environmental threat

The latest discoveries by researchers revealed that microplastics are now becoming a health and environmental threat, which could be disturbing.

To address this problem, Professor Banu Örmeci, Carleton’s Jarislowsky Chair in Water and Global Health, also the director of the Global Water Institute at Carleton University is now leading her team to develop solutions, collaborating with industry partners Photon etc., Ocean Diagnostics and Particuleye Technologies.
