Prof. Jeffrey Erochko and Dr. Shoeleh Shams receive 2022 Carleton University Teaching Award

Congratulations to Prof. Jeffrey Erochko and Dr. Shoeleh Shams for receiving the 2022 Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award and New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award.

Prof. Jeffery Erochko is one of the three Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award winners for his dedication to sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching. He is also designated as a Carleton University teaching fellow.

Dr. Shoeleh Shams received the honor with New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award for bringing energy and excitement to her teaching, and pursuit of teaching excellence and innovation.

According to the Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Professor Yasser Hassan, “Two awards out of a total of 6 given to faculty members in the whole university speaks volume of the quality of our faculty as instructors.”
