Carleton Engineering Students Take First Place in Ontario Engineering Competition 2025

We are very proud of the team of CEE students who competed in the Ontario Engineering Competition at McMaster University in Hamilton this past weekend.

Team members Maria Giulia, Sophie Filion, Piper Stuempel, and Chloe Lucas competed in the Consulting category. They were given a problem statement on Friday (January 24th) and had six hours to research solutions and write a report as well as make presentation slides. They presented their solution to a panel of judges the next morning and placed first out of eleven teams from different Ontario universities.

As a result, this team will be heading to the Canadian Engineering Competition hosted by Dalhousie University in Halifax in just a few months on March 14, 2025.

“I am looking forward to representing Carleton again alongside my team members and hopefully placing in the national competition,” Maria Giulia said in a recent email to one of our faculty members.

CEE is proud of this bright and talented team. We wish them the best as they head to Halifax soon.
