Biography
Pedram Nojedehi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Building Performance Research Centre (BPRC) at Carleton University. His research focuses on building performance, housing, energy efficiency, urban building energy modelling, and thermal resilience in buildings.
He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and holds a PhD in Building Engineering from Carleton University, as well as a master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering. His doctoral research focused on developing innovative technologies for smarter facility management and building maintenance using digital twin applications, fault detection and diagnostics, and occupant-building interaction. His contributions to facility management and building performance research have been recognized through several awards, including the IFMA Foundation Scholarship, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Fellowship, and the Gordon Shield Memorial Scholarship.
Pedram has experience in building energy modelling, AI and data analytics, HVAC systems, and applied building performance research. He has also contributed to teaching in building science, building services engineering, statics and mechanics, and automated building simulation workshops.
