My research focuses on answering fundamental questions about how microorganisms interact with contaminants in the environment and how we can use microbes as part of innovative bioremediation strategies. I use whole-community approaches such as metagenomics and metaproteomics alongside enrichment culturing techniques to develop sustainable waste reclamation strategies for Earth’s fastest growing waste stream, e-waste
