DFAIT’s Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program is seeking applications from Canadian publicly funded institutions, on behalf of Masters or PhD students from Commonwealth countries in Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, for funding to carry out research at a Canadian institution four to six months.
• Scholarships are available for graduate students to carry out research at a Canadian institution for four to six months
• Canadian institutions must submit applications on behalf of the candidate
• Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries:
o Asia-Pacific: Bangladesh, India, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Nauru, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu
o Africa: Botswana, Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia
• $7,500 CAN is available for graduate students for a period of four months of research or $10,000 CAN for graduate students for a period of five or six months research.
• This scholarship is tenable between August 2012 and March 15,2013
