Officials from the Embassy of France in Canada and Carleton’s Faculty of Engineering and Design recently wrapped up the two-day France Carleton Aerospace Summit (FRACAS). The event brought together researchers from France’s Aerospace Valley and CNAM (Conservatoire national des arts et métiers) with Carleton faculty from the departments of Aerospace, Electronics and Systems and Computer Engineering. Three targeted areas of research strength at Carleton were explored including noise and vibration control; advanced materials and energy harvesting; and health monitoring of aircraft structures.
