The US Agency for International Development (USAID) supports long-term and equitable economic growth and advances US foreign policy objectives by supporting: economic growth, agriculture and trade; global health; and democracy, conflict prevention, and humanitarian assistance.
Opportunity
USAID invites applications for its call on advancing human rights and democratic values in Cuba. This aims to empower citizens to participate in the advancement of human rights and democratic values. Activities should focus on unrecognised and unmet needs of Cuban civil
society in applying creative and innovative approaches in the design and implementation of efforts to promote and protect human rights, as well as strengthen and facilitate the creation of networks to support marginalised and vulnerable populations.
Eligibility
US and non-US NGOs may apply. Individuals are not eligible. Organisations may submit only one application.
Funding Available
The total budget is 5.69 million. Grants are worth between USD $500,000 and USD $2,000,000 each for a period of up to three years.
