We are excited to announce that Carleton researchers can now fully participate in Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe, the European Union’s flagship program for research and innovation.
The agreement was officially signed on July 3, 2024, between the Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science, and Industry, and the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, and Youth.
With a budget of €95.5 billion over seven years, Horizon Europe is the largest research and innovation funding program in the world and gives associate members equal consideration for funding alongside EU Member States.
This landmark agreement signals unprecedented potential for Carleton researchers by opening doors to expand the reach of their research, enhance the citation impact of their work, and create long-lasting strategic partnerships in Europe.
We encourage Carleton researchers to familiarize themselves with the Pillar 2 program to leverage its resources and collaborative opportunities.
