Webinar 5: Data Visualization Basics for Nonprofits

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Delivered by the Charity Insights Canada Project (CICP) through our Community Education Centre, this introductory workshop is designed for nonprofit and charitable professionals who feel unsure about data or how to use it.

Are you sitting on a pile of data but struggling to share what it means? You don’t need advanced coding skills or expensive software to make your data compelling. In this interactive webinar designed specifically for nonprofit professionals, we will cover the basics of data visualization using tools you already have, like Excel and Google Sheets.

We’ll explore why visual data matters for your organization’s storytelling, how to choose the right type of graph for different kinds of information, and key design principles to make your charts clear and accessible. Bring your questions and follow along as we end with a hands-on exercise to turn a basic, default spreadsheet graph into a clean visualization.
