Since 2006, Nepal’s risk of conflict has marginally increased. While the 2006 risk index was 5.96, current estimates suggest an increase to 6.34. While governance and political stability, militarization, demographic stress, human development, and international linkages have improved since 2006, indicators demonstrating history of armed conflict, economic performance, and environmental stress indicate negative trends.
