Procurement Policy Update: New Procurement Value Thresholds (January 2024)
The Procurement Policy was updated as of January 1, 2024, and contains important changes. In alignment with incoming updates to the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive, Carleton has implemented changes to the current Total Procurement Value thresholds, as follows:

This change has several implications to operations, including:
- Cheque Requisitions may be used for engagements where the Total Procurement Value is up to $25,000.00 starting on January 1.
- The following related policies will not be changed.
- As per the Signing Authorities policy, Purchase Contracts in which the Total Procurement Value is $100,000.00 or more require proper signatories and risk evaluation.
- Procurement Card (PCard) limits will not be increased.
- eCard limits will not be increased.
