Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness Training

Who must complete this training?

Supervisors and managers are required to complete the Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness Training in addition to the Worker Health & Safety Awareness. If you are in a position of authority to at least one person, you are considered a supervisor (e.g. professors, contract instructors, lab supervisors, TA’s etc.).

How do I access this training?

Employees of Carleton are automatically enrolled in this mandatory session within Brightspace.  It will be found in your list of My Courses.  If it is not in your “my courses” follow the instructions below to self enroll.

  1. Visit Brightspace.
  2. Sign in using your MC1 credentials.
  3. Select the correct course in “My Courses”.  If the course is not listed in “My courses”, click on the Discover tab in the navigation bar and search for the course. Enroll and complete the modules.

This training course will provide supervisors with information about their responsibilities under OHSA and the University’s Health and Safety Management System.
