Student availability varies by program and students can work for 4, 8, 12 or 16-months depending on their program and year of study. View our list of over 100 programs and student availabilities to learn more about when students are available.

Register and Post a Job
Prepare a job description and submit your job posting easily online on CUHire. All jobs are posted on CUHire, so create an account and get the hiring process started today!
Posting a job
- Log in to CUHire, click Post a Co-op Job and select Co-op Job Postings.
- Complete the posting information and include the job description
- Choose the targeted clusters/academic program(s) you are interested in
- Choose the application deadline (jobs are typically posted 4-5 days)
- Click Submit Posting for Approval
- You’ll receive an email to confirm your submission and again once the posting is approved and live on the CUHire site
Job Descriptions
Make sure your job description includes information about your organization, details about the role and key activities, and skills and abilities that students should be bringing to succeed on the job. As a bonus, consider adding a section that explains the benefits of working with your team and organization. Once your posting is approved, the job will be live and ready for students to apply.
Funding and salary
Co-op students seek fair and competitive wages. You, the employer, set the wages—check out our salary survey for average salary rates by discipline and year in program. When you hire a co-op student, you may qualify for additional funding, subsidies or tax credits. View Funding Resources.
Select
Students apply to your job and after the application deadline has passed, an application bundle is sent to your email inbox. Applications are also accessible via your CU Hire account. Login to CU Hire
Interviews
Select your interview candidates and the Co-op office will coordinate the interview arrangements and confirm the schedule. Interviews can take place on campus, by telephone or Skype, or at the employer’s location. Interview rooms on campus are available during regular business hours to facilitate the process for both you and students.
Hire
Make your student selections and the Co-op Office will extend offers on your behalf. No rank and match! Our flexible approach allows for continuous hiring where jobs are posted and students are hired on a first-come, first-served basis.
