Kristen Hines

Kristen Hines is a contract instructor, Professional Writing Program (Carleton University), a freelance writer and editor, and managing editor, The Science Writer.

The small and engaging fourth-year English seminars Kristen took at Carleton inspired her to follow a career path in editing and communications and eventually pursue a Master’s degree in professional writing.

Kristen chose Carleton after attending an information session in her hometown of Sudbury, Ontario, in 1997. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to study at that time, but she was drawn to Carleton’s diverse programming in the humanities and the chance to study in the nation’s capital.
