Thesis title: “Women’s Resistance to the Violence of (Neo)Extractivism in Bolivia“
Description: My research examines gendered discourses emerging from women’s resistance to extractivism in two regions in Bolivia using a theoretical framework that draws primarily from materialist ecofeminisms and decolonial feminisms. I aim to highlight the ways in which a decolonial ecofeminism and the centering of local activism can contribute to transnational articulations of solidarity, create the potential for coalition building, and contribute to understanding how gender is (re)produced within transnational grassroots movements and civil society organizations.
