Call for workshops: International Workshops on Public Policy
The International Public Policy Association (IPPA) is pleased to announce the Call for Workshops for the fifth edition of the International Workshops on Public Policy (IWPP5), taking place July 6–8, 2026 at Carleton University.
Building on the success of IWPP events in Pittsburgh (2018), Budapest (2022), and Guadalajara (2024), IWPP returns to North America for three days of collaboration and exchange.

- Call for Workshops: September 8 – October 17, 2025
- Call for Papers: November 10, 2025 – January 30, 2026
Workshop Format
IWPP5 will feature 20–25 parallel workshops, each proposed by at least two scholars. Workshop convenors will select 10–15 papers for presentation and discussion. The goal is to foster advanced policy research and promote high-impact scientific publications.
Suggested Topics
Workshops may address a wide range of themes, including (but not limited to):
- Policy process theories
- Comparative public policy
- Policy and politics
- Policy implementation
- Policy design, analysis, expertise, and evaluation
- Policy discourse and critical policy research
- Governance, policy networks, and multi-level governance
- Policy, business, and interest groups
- Gender, diversity, and public policy
- Sustainable development
- Urban policies
- Sectoral policy analysis
