ATTENDANCE POLICY

Attendance in all programs is mandatory for successful completion. Certificates will not be awarded until the entire program has been completed.  For extenuating circumstances for a missed module or course, please contact FutureEdge@carleton.ca in advance of the absence.

Academic Integrity/Plagiarism Policy

Adherence to acceptable standards of academic honesty is an important aspect of the learning process. Academic work submitted by a student is evaluated on the assumption that the work presented by the student is their own unless designated otherwise.

The University Senate defines plagiarism in the regulations on instructional offenses as: “to use and pass off as one’s own idea or product work of another without expressly giving credit to another.”

Borrowing someone else’s answers, unauthorized possession of tests or answers to tests, or possession of material during an exam designed for answering exam questions, are also subject to university policy regarding instructional offenses.

All instances or accusations of plagiarism or breach of academic integrity will be forwarded and investigated by the program coordinator in alignment with the policies and procedures of Carleton University Future EDge.
