Jo-Anne LeFevre

Distinguished Research Professor (Department of Cognitive Science)

Prof. LeFevre’s main research interests are in the area of mathematical cognition; specifically, understanding how children and adults learn and understand numbers and arithmetic. I am also interested in some aspects of reading across different e-platforms (such as phones, tablets, and hypertext generally), from the perspective of how individual differences in cognitive abilities interact with different text formats.

Prof. LeFevre is also the Director for the Institute of Cognitive Science and Centre for Applied Cognitive Research at Carleton University.
