Graduate student Adam Weigert and his axe-hewing colleague Corey Pool were featured on CBC Ottawa morning in December 2019. Adam’s research focuses on the timber hewing process in traditional log construction – using digital techniques to document both the hewing techniques and the antique broadaxes employed in hewing. Adam will graduate with a M.A.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2020 and has been in the NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering program since 2017.
