The Institute of Environmental and Interdisciplinary Sciences is a research active, interdisciplinary, Institute within the Faculty of Science at Carleton University. Two undergraduate programs are offered by the Institute, Environmental Science and Interdisciplinary Science and Practice. We also offer a Certificate in Science and Policy.
The Institute is highly collaborative, and at Carleton has forged linkages with many academic disciplines. This includes non-zero cross-appointments in academic departments to facilitate research, including Biology, Earth Sciences, and Geography, notable in terms of interdisciplinarity as being a unit in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
