  • The Centre for Indigenous Initiatives offers a range of cultural programming throughout the academic year. For more information please visit the Weekly and Monthly Programming page.
  • Upon request, students can seek an individual meeting with one of the knowledge keepers/elders that work with the Centre. For more information please email indigenous@carleton.ca

Writing Support

Finding it difficult to start writing a paper? Feeling overwhelmed trying to organize your thoughts and ideas? Writing services offers all students one on one writing consultations.

Learning Supports Sessions

Financial

  • The Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) provides financial support to post-secondarystudents, and recent post-secondary and high school graduates who are unable to find work due to COVID-19. This benefit is for students who do not qualify for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) or Employment Insurance (EI). Apply Here: https://carleton.ca/awards/budgeting/money-saving-tips/
  • Indigenous Student Bursaries are available for First Nation, Metis and Inuit students

Health and Wellness

  • The Centre for Indigenous Initiatives offers free 1:1 confidential counselling to Indigenous students (insert link to counselling page) and same day walk-in counselling through health and counselling
  • Registered students have free access to the Carleton Fitness Centre through and can access other Carleton Athletics services for a discounted rate.
