Eddie Anokye
Eddie Anokye is a third-year Computer Science student specializing in the cutting-edge field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Eddie’s unique blend of knowledge, passion, and life experiences has led him to pursue his new venture CourseRank, a university/college course ranking platform that allows users to accurately assess a multitude of up-to-date metrics surrounding available courses.
Eddie is deeply interested in solving problems with a high “utility product”. Utility Product is a term he coined that refers to the average user’s level of satisfaction after the problem was solved, subtracted by the average user’s level of satisfaction before a problem was solved multiplied by the amount of users affected by the problem being solved. Eddie’s passion for making a meaningful difference in the world through leveraging computer science concepts in a pragmatic fashion is the cornerstone of his focus.
Eddie’s problem-solving methodology revolves around adopting a first principles and axiomatic approach. This means he typically tries to break down complex problems into their fundamental components and builds solutions from the ground up. Eddie’s overarching goal is to provide as much value as possible to society before his life ends. Every project he embarks upon is undertaken with the goal of providing an improvement to society through leveraging the technological means available to us, even if the improvement is ever so slight.
While most of his time is dedicated to his studies and side projects, Eddie enjoys a well-rounded life. Outside of the world of technology, he is a fan of comedy, a huge fan of fantasy novels, and loves playing basketball in his free time.
