Eamonn is an Ottawa native who originally attended uWaterloo for Urban Planning (2017 – 2020). During the pandemic, he decided to transfer into Carleton’s Humanities program to understand the intricacies of history, religion, and culture through the lens of primary historical literature which ranged from ancient texts like the Bible to modern philosophical writers such as David Hume and Charles Taylor. Having also taken an interest in the environment at a young age, he has studied the techniques of various geography related fields such as urban planning and permaculture through both academic study and personal research.

Eamonn is now aiming to use his final year at Carleton to turn his talents and passions toward building an innovative business focused on finding profitable intersections between food and waste. He has realized that there is an excess amount of local, reusable waste and an excess scarcity of local, affordable food and housing options. He would like to expand upon inroads between the two to create a company that can capitalize upon various markets and skilled labour to benefit both the environment and Canadians.
