Working with partners in Canada, Lebanon, Kenya, Jordan and Tanzania, we have three programs:

  1. Research: Through joint initiatives and priorities identified by colleagues in the field, the project will conduct comparative research on the politics of refugee protection and solutions in national contexts, specifically to understand the challenges associated with the implementation of global refugee policy policies and standards in national and local contexts. This research will be conducted in partnership with NGO and academic institutions in each identified country.
  2. Training and Capacity-Building: The project will work to enhance NGO and academic capacity in each country through training workshops, exchange opportunities, and the development of training materials to enhance the capacity of civil society actors, including refugees, to engage in local, national, regional and global discussions on refugee policy.
  3. Knowledge Mobilization: The project will disseminate the results of the project through various print and electronic means, and through outreach activities with global policy actors in New York and Geneva to ensure that local realities better inform global policy discussions.
