Titilayo Adedeji, Student

Titilayo Adedeji holds both a BSc and MSc in Biochemistry but has embarked on an extraordinary academic and professional path inspired by her unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes—a lifelong passion that defines her purpose and brings her personal fulfillment.

In 2017, she founded The Corinth’s Humanitarian Foundation (TCHF), a nonprofit organization committed to uplifting underserved rural communities in West Africa, Nigeria. Under her visionary leadership, TCHF has completed 13 impactful outreach initiatives, directly reaching over 2,600 participants and driving positive change through education, healthcare and economic empowerment programs.

Currently, Titilayo is advancing her expertise as she pursues an MPNL degree at Carleton University. This multidisciplinary program equips her with advanced skills in nonprofit management, leadership, impact measurement, policy, financing and fundraising. Her ultimate goal is to leverage these tools to deepen her impact and create meaningful, systemic change in the nonprofit sector.

Professionally, Titilayo plays a pivotal role within the Immigration and Settlement Services at YWCA Hamilton, where she supports newcomers and marginalized populations, helping them navigate pathways to integration and stability. She also dedicates her time as a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, contributing to efforts that strengthen community resilience. As the founder and executive director of TCHF, she leads grassroots initiatives that provide access to education, healthcare, and entrepreneurial opportunities, empowering vulnerable communities to thrive.

Titilayo also serves as a Board Director for Future Black Female (FBF), a feminist-informed nonprofit that empowers Black girls and women aged 16–22 to take charge of their education, careers and civic engagement.

With a vision that transcends borders, Titilayo is driven by a mission to expand her humanitarian efforts across Africa while eradicating systemic barriers, amplifying marginalized voices, and fostering inclusive leadership in the global nonprofit sector. She’s equally committed to advancing equity and social justice in Canada, her second home.

A humanitarian, entrepreneur, biochemist, educator, mother and wife, Titilayo’s life is a testament to her commitment to creating a better world. Outside of her professional endeavours, she enjoys watching good movies, engaging in Zumba, cooking and swimming.

In 2024, Titilayo Adedeji received the MPNL Award for Black Emerging Fundraising Professionals.
