Women in Philanthropy
Research Initiative
Women have long been the quiet power in philanthropy. They have held tremendous influence as donors, board members, volunteers, professionals in foundations, charities and nonprofits, CEOs, founders of social enterprises, and societal changemakers. Women are gaining economic agency and are having even greater impact in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector.
The Women in Philanthropy Research Initiative aims to support women who are starting or revisiting their philanthropic journeys and to build a field of research with practical applications. Visit our Research page to learn more about the project goals and activities, the Team page to meet the researchers, and our Resources page to learn more about women in philanthropy, in Canada and globally.
